Privacy policy

This site (companionscoutai.com) is a static, content-only website. We collect as little as possible. This policy explains what that means in practice. It is a general template — review with a qualified professional before relying on it for compliance.

What we collect

• Analytics. We count clicks on tracked outbound app links in daily aggregates by page, app, button label and affiliate status. These counts are stored on Cloudflare for reporting. This measurement does not store IP addresses, cookies, visitor identifiers, user agents, referrers or destination URLs. Click counts are not unique visitors, purchases or revenue. For a small placement pilot we also count requests to three explicitly tagged landing pages and eligible outbound clicks by a fixed campaign label. We do not store the raw query string or add a visitor identifier. Tagged requests can include reloads or automated traffic; they are not unique people or confirmed visits. Sales must be verified separately with the merchant.
• Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and how they find the site. It sets first-party cookies and sends Google page views, approximate location, device and browser details, and referring pages. Google truncates IP addresses and does not log or store them. Advertising features and ad personalisation are switched off. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default, and Google receives only cookieless measurement pings. Google’s use of this data is covered by its privacy policy, and you can opt out with Google’s browser add-on.
• No accounts. There are no logins, comments or user accounts on this site, so we don’t store personal profiles.
• Server logs. Our host (Cloudflare Workers) may keep standard request logs for security and reliability.

Affiliate links & third parties

Some outbound links are affiliate links marked sponsored nofollow. When you click one, the destination site — and its affiliate network — sets its own cookies and applies its own privacy policy, which we don’t control. Review the destination’s policy before subscribing.

On links to affiliate networks that support it, we add two labels: the page you clicked from and the button you clicked. If you then sign up or buy, the network’s server tells ours which offer converted, the commission and those two labels. We keep only daily totals, plus a one-way fingerprint of the network’s transaction number so a sale is never counted twice. None of this identifies you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access or delete data held about you. Because we hold minimal data, there is usually little to act on, but you can contact us with any request.

Adults only

This is an 18+ site intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
